Me and a friend want to make this happen. Would be nice to get someone on the team that has been up there before.

Would wait for the snow to soften slightly (warmer temps). Conditions are pretty icy right now. :twocents:

Yeah, I can tell you from experience that it's not worth going up if has been cold for while. Especially if you have bulletproof ice. Another pdx splitter and I are planning to go up tuesday. Hopefully, it should warm enough for the snow to corn up...

This is on my spring todo list, not having avy gear makes me wait until things have compacted thoroughly.

Thursday is the only day I have available the rest of the week. One of my friends is likely in, but I want to go for sure. I would be leaving from the Seattle area.

Just to give you a heads up. We skinned up today to the weather station at 6200 ft. Once you get past the cluster of trees on the ridge, the wind starts to pick up. Mountain forecast.com predicted 20mph winds. I can tell you that was straight bs. Right around the weather station, there were some strong gusty winds. Crampons are a must. Along with the wind picking up at higher elevation, the snow transition to hard pack and ice in some spots. On the way down, the snow seemed variable some spots, but softer at lower elevation. We started some small slide between 5 and 6k. There were a few spots with heavy sticky snow to make turns. As you approach the cluster trees, the snow gets better. Have fun out there and be safe...
