We have a week at the Campbell Icefield Chalet, near Golden British Columbia, booked for the week of March 3-10, 2012. There are at least three spots available to interested backcountry enthusiasts.

The terrain is varied and the scenery stunning - lots of touring, turning and ripping opportunities. There is a hot sauna to soothe the joints. Two guides will ensure that all skiers/boarders of all ability levels can be challenged and thrilled accordingly, and the cook will ensures that there be enough fine food and nutrition. This is a fully catered trip, how do you spell L-U-X-U-R-Y?

I linked into this trip four years ago. There is a core group of medical doctors that complete their continuing education credits in the evening, give presentations on fascinating subject areas. Non-medical participants are always invited to participate (I tend to sip my Scotch and fade in and out).

The cost for this trip is $1750, all inclusive of helicopter, food and guide fees ($1825 for medical staff doing the CME thing). The staging ground is about 30 minutes drive west of Golden BC.

One more thing...I'm flying into Calgary International Airport on Friday March 2, scheduled landing at 1:44PM. I'll be picking up a rental car (with my wife) at the airport and driving directly to Golden for the night. We could most likely fit an additional passenger. Steve
