Nice vid Chris! I love Salmon River, where are those canyons?
Thanks for posting up pics of Helens Patrick, that was quite icy adventure! Elliot got some good flicks too. I especially like the shot (19 i think?) of Hood at sunrise.
Yeah, it would pretty sweet to see that vid of my slide.

Hey Guys,
I want to get out on Wednesday, friday, saturday, or sunday this week. I am open to most areas and would like to get some plans in the works. Let me know if you are interested.
did you guys make it to the top on helens? what was the snow like?
the salmon river canyons are the easiest to access on hood. from the forest service parking lot at t-line they are right below you. go down around the canyon a couple of corners and there is a few cool little faces.
im going out weds and thurs for an overnight, possibly barrett spur on the north side. hit me up if anyone wants to go.
shredor if you want to join for weds hit me up we may be able to work something out.

Hey Chris,
Snow?, I think we hit a patch or two on the way down. We sounded like a squadron of Blue Angels on descent. Rain crust of varying depths, but the trees out were fast, fun, and furious. We made it to +/- 7500', the wind, white out, and crust didn't justify going any further. All the forecaster's definately dropped the ball on this one.
ha classic. even the littlest cascade can have super gnar conditions on it. sounds about like when i did helens last year in feb, i ended up doing a half glissade -heel edge -ice axe deal about halfway down the mountain.
damn forecasters. i hear a strong inversion is gonna hang out with us till mid feb, maybe get some proto-corn up there? or just wind scoured ice...

Yup,
Chris, I am sorry but i spoke to soon about my availability this week. It seems that my last day of work has been pushed one more day from today to tomorrow. I am a sucker. I am interested in coming into Next Adventure to say whatUp and maybe get a complementary tune UP? if that is still up for grabs? let me know when a good time would be. Have fun tomorrow!

I'd be down for anything around Hood on Saturday. Patrick, sounds like you may already have an idea on where to go? Otherwise the 2 car method of riding White River is really fun...

Sounds like a good idea. Just have to hope the snow is soft. I will definitely drive since it would be easy just throw our boards in the back of my truck and drive back up.
