I will be Splitting Mt. shasta May 13th, 14th, and 15th. I'm offering an open envitation to fellow splitters to join the fun. We will be arriving on the mountain Thurs. the 12th at the Bunny Flat trailhead, and starting our ascent on the 13th at no later than 9am. We will be heading to Helen Lake to overnight and attempt the summit early am on the 14th ( weather permitting).
want to come? Shasta's a BIG mountain and deserves respect. Be prepared for sitting out storms, possible wet slides, and lots of wind, as well as getting blasted by the sun. Do yourself a favor and don't overpack.
This will be my 5th year on the mountain, so if you would like help, or suggestions let me know.
