A video Ryan Minton made of our trip into the Gros Ventres last week. I'm planning on writing a photo-rich TR (3-part series already on my blog if you're interested) when I get the time, but for now I'll throw this link out there. For all you POV haters, don't worry. There's none in here.

No way! How was it? Were you shredding? What's the snowpack like in the Gros Ventre? Any "essentials" back there need replacing (maul handle, lantern fuel/mantles, etc...)?

The cabin is in excellent shape. We chopped a bunch of firewood and left a new canister of lamp fuel when we departed. Unfortunately the whiskey supply took a big hit from our visit and will need to be replenished...
The east faces had a lot of snow from the storm last weekend as well as alot of windloading. There were definitely some deep spots, but constant very loud whumping was enough to keep me from riding.
Played around in the hills around the cabin and had alot of fun on the trip, though. Would love to go back and do some real riding with someone in the know; my backcountry knowledge is fledgling.
