This is truly awesome! Way to get back in there and suffer through the approach... I can't imagine. (What is this "overnight pack" thing anyway? )
I grew up in Seattle, and we had a view of the Olympics from the house. That is when it wasn't raining, so I saw them a couple times a month or so... When I was a kid we did a big thru hike out there. The views up there were amazing, but I'm sure I was complaining about my probably sub-40 lb pack. Can't imagine taking a split all the way in there... but clearly the rewards were worth it!
