Well, we planned to hike out to Herman Saddle but with the white out conditions we decided to stay close in. We hiked up to Artist Point and then dropped into the basin to the North. The snow was a little heavy but still very floaty and fun. The only problem was you couldn't see anything. But either the fog started to clear or our eyes started to adjust, because half way down it really got fun. So, we hiked back up and did another run. We did some yoyo-ing to get back to the parking lot and had some more great runs. I think we made 6 transitions thoughout the day so we got some practice in!
We ended the day with some hot food and a couple of beers at the Mt Baker Lodge. We didn't hit our goal but we still had a blast! And as I said in the truck on the way out, no one got killed and no one got arrested, success by Wisconsin standards!
Great to meet you Radkin! We need to get out more. Maybe Kendal Ridge at Snoqs next weekend ?
The weather was terrible for photos but here's some to get a feel for the day.
