Hooked up with Hyakbc on tuesday for this one. This one has been on my list for about 10 years and Tuesday was finally the day. After seeing Bakershredda's post it got me motivated to get it done. Its a LONG haul in on logging roads until you get to the mountain and eventually is too steep for skinning. Was about 14.5 miles round trip, took us about 6.5 hours with breaks to get to the top (which included about 1.5-2 hours of boot packing) and about 1.5 hours to get down. The weather turned out pretty good. It was cloudy in the AM and then cleared up a bit with broken clouds during the day and then started getting cloudy and socked in at the end of the day.

YO! That looks like a pretty cool adventure. I've looked over at the twins from the Mt.Baker NRA and wondered about riding there.
Do you happen to know where the wilderness boundary is? Would snomos cut that 6.5hr trip down if they could be used for part of the access? Just a thought. Thanks. LAYC

jcocci, glad you and hybak got er dun. When I met Jon Dahl at baker to hit shuksan arm on tuesday we discussed your change of plans. I'm glad the weather held out nicely for your long trip. It was a nice day to be out of the office for sure. Great TR with views, action and wildlife, does it get any better than that?
