Wow, I was up there on that day...I can't believe how many other splitboard.com members I missed! We didn't get up above Palmer until after noon, so maybe all you guys were on your way down. We did kind of tail one solo splitboarder up there and stopped when we ran into a PMR guy waiting for two hurt hikers. Was that splitter anyone on here? (I was with this loudmouth skier dude with a red beard)

Ditto about the rockfall. That whole wall to the east of the crater was going crazy! We didn't even think about summitting. That mountain is awesome, but I agree about the total shitshow of crowds! I think back to a few years ago when some lost climbers on Hood made national news, and I wondered "how could that have happened?" Now I know.

That's exactly why I prefer just riding from the Hogsback, or going to the northside (really thins out the people).
