Hoping to arrange a car-pool/ride share to the Canuck Splitfest this coming January from the Vancouver, BC area. Anybody else coming from or through Vancouver or the Vancouver/lower mainland area and interested in sharing a ride and fuel costs, please post to here to say how many people you're traveling with, when you'll leaving to go to Roger's, when you want to leave to go home, if you're driving (and how many you can take), or if you need a ride.

I'll start;
My girlfriend and I want to leave the lower mainland Friday morning with enough time to get to the lodge for the Parks Canada permit seminar session on Friday night. As my girlfriend needs to be back home Sunday night so we'd want to leave Roger's sometime Sunday (maybe mid-afternoon after a half-day tour if that's possible). Have an all-wheel drive car, so I could drive with one (comfortably) or two others (a little less comfortably) plus gear in the back and boards on the roof. If road conditions are less than ideal either there or back, my car is not the best option for driving. Will also need passenger(s) who can drive manual transmission and willing to share driving time on the way home Sunday afternoon/night so we always have a driver who can stay awake.

Who else is going?!?!?

I will be driving though vancouver on (i hope) the thuresday befor. I would like to get out there and be able to get a day of touring in befor the event, Maybe even help get things set up. I am flexable about when i can leave and come back as work will mostlikly be shut down by then.

I got a 93 Jeep Grand Cherkee so I got lots of room for gear and boards on the roof. I can take 3 ppl with me and if we wanted to push it I can put a 4th in.

I'm looking for a ride - flexible on dates, prolly prefer to stay a little longer, maybe hit up RMR if the conditions are good? I'm in Pemberton but can get to Van easy enough if need be.

I suck at driving stick...

Anyone want to split a room as well?

An update to my original post at the top;

Also considering leaving Vancouver area Thursday after work, driving to Revelstoke and getting a cheap motel there for the night. We'd ride at the resort Friday and leave just in time to get to Roger's Pass on Friday evening in time for dinner and the Park's Canada permit presentation. That would leave a full day of touring on Saturday and a half day touring on Sunday in the Roger's Pass area before leaving for home sometime Sunday afternoon.

Looking for one (comfortably) or two (less comfortably) more people to join us and split gas and/or motel costs to make this trip and all the driving a little more affordable. If your plans or similar to ours and you're driving and looking for people to ride with you, we'd (my girlfriend and I) be more than happy to jump in with you.

If you can make it to Kamloops, I'll be heading out in the afternoon on Fri to make it to the Presentations. Lots of room in the the car, depending on how much gear is brought. I have a large roof rack.
