Hey all,

I'm curious when people are heading up Friday... daytime or evening? Are people planning on touring Friday? I remember it taking it taking 2-3 hrs to hike in. Leaving Portland 4pm seems like the latest time to leave in order to get to the cabin by dark, right? At this point I'm wondering if I should take a half day off from work :)

Damn straight...

Nice recon, I'll be up there for an overnighter on Monday. I'll check on your shelter. Looks like we might get a little snow before the weekend....

I'm voting no. :twocents: Also, that was a damn good year. We had snow 95% of the way from trailhead.

Been a busy guy last year, had this on calendar but didn't take the time to look it up till today. Interested in accomodations for Friday & Saturday night, can't make it to the wrap party though... catching a flight to FL for a road trip with my brother sunday night.

Dogan
PM sent to appropriate party.

Chronic, good work on the stone shelter. We were up there on Sunday. That sucker's filled to the brim with snow, minus the blocks from that wall you built.

I'm leaving the keg sled at home this time. I measured a little over a mile of booting from the snow to the parking lot. Strap your board to your pack and don't put it back on until you're up in the burn.

We headed up the Spur until it got a bit too firm:

Just got back from the A-frame today with Corydog and Cole. We were able to skin majority of the steep section of the spur. Snow was softer and colder the higher we went. However, it was starting to get slushy in the tree in the afternoon. Weather is supposed to be sunny and clear this weekend.

Almost forgot, I highly recommend someone to bring a latel for scooping out water if you're staying in the A-Frame. I didn't see one in the locked chest yesterday.

Anyone want to share a ride from Bend? Either my vehicle or yours is fine. I have a Tacoma extra cab so could fit 1 more (possibly 2) comfortably. Right now I'm thinking of leaving Friday afternoon or Saturday, returning Sunday or Monday. PM me.
