The 4th annual Mt Baker Splitfest will be held on March 22nd, 23rd and 24th, 2013. The sponsors are lining up and plans are falling into place. The event is hosted by Chair 9 again. We will also have a tent for demos this year! We will have the Meet & Greet on Friday evening and the raffle on Saturday night. Last year we raised over $4600 for NWAC. For raffle prizes, we have multiple splitboards, bindings, skins, packs, and much more.
We have a great list of sponsors so far: Karakoram Jones Snowboards Venture Snowboards Voile Arbor Collective Lib-Tech Prior Snowboards Spark R&D G3 BCA One Ball Jay Frequency Mt Baker Vacation Rentals K2 Snowboarding Chimera Snowboards SickSplits Chair 2 Board Sports Backdrop Sports And of course Splitboard.com!
Accommodations are up to the attendees as usual. Check out the accommodations page for places to rent and Chair 9 now has a 6 room lodge available. There is also lots of camping in the area. We are continuously updating the website http://www.splitfest.com and check out the Facebook page for random updates https://www.facebook.com/MtBakerSplitfest

Hey there,
were going to head down your way for splitfest and were wondering do most people tour from the resort or do you go elsewhere? also for lift tickets if necessary is there a "1 ride up special" or is there somewhere to get discounted lift tickets. same questions for stevens pass as that is our next stop. Coming out from edmonton, alberta, canada so have no idea about the area

If you decide to tour near the resort it's a short skin until you are out of the resort so you don't need a lift ticket. Unless you work at another resort I don't know of any ticket discounts at Baker. Stevens Pass has bunch of different discounts. Check out their website to see which one works for you.

Any solo peeps heading to the fest? I've never been but since all of my friends are skiers, I'll be by myself. I realize it'll probably be "easy" to go to the party on Friday night and find people to go out with but it's not easy for me to just announce "does anyone want to take me with them?!". Also, where do most people stay? Hotels, their cars, camping? Anything else I need to know?

JNK,
I will probably be alone and looking for people to split with as well. Not sure if I can convince the wife to go up with me for the weekend. I was wondering the same things, where are the best places to stay? I am sure there are some cool places that have cabins to rent for the weekend like there are near Crystal and Stevens. Guess I need to do some research.
