Post subject: FOBP Avalanche awareness course at CU Boulder on 11/3

The CU Backcountry Club will be hosting Friends of Berthoud Pass this Wednesday (11/3) as they continue offering their free avalanche awareness courses for the 2010-2011 season. Former Berthoud Pass Avalanche Training Director, Bob Tomsky aka "Bobski" will be providing an overview of avalanche awareness, avoidance, and rescue and forecasting methods. This will take place from 7-10PM in HUMN(Eaton Humanities) 1B50. Topics such as route selection, hazard minimization, best practices, preparedness, and terrain analysis will be covered in this classroom presentation. This course is FREE and open to the public.
