I recently subscribed to The Avalanche Review (the publication of the American Avalanche Association) and am happy I did. The newsletter is pubished 4 times/year and cost is $20. Here's the link:

It has lots of good articles (some pretty technical) about snow science and education. The most recent newsletter has several pieces about shoveling education, multiple burial scenarios, companion rescue, etc. Also, they explore a couple of new snow tests (the Extended Column Test and the Propagation Saw Test). I would recommend anyone interested to check out the website - you can view back issues too if interested. The best part is that I can read the articles from the comfort of my couch
