..actually they are closed more for snow control which will take all day. i dont remember them ever closing the ski area due to avy danger before, but over the last 5 days it has dumped 8 feet! i suspect they really closed it because its supposed to rain today and no one would of showed up anyway.
in other news, according to the NWAC report, a skier was caught in a slide on the Shucksan Arm yesterday. ok, pardon the rant, but WHY THE FUCK YOU SKI THAT?!?!! lets see...lee slope, between 35-40 degrees, no anchors, mostly convex, same place where 3 people died in a massive slide' 98-'99 and to top it all of, the avy forcast says HIGH danger!!! like, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING? that guy is lucky to be alive.
"take it easy, if its easy take it twice..."
