..actually they are closed more for snow control which will take all day. i dont remember them ever closing the ski area due to avy danger before, but over the last 5 days it has dumped 8 feet! i suspect they really closed it because its supposed to rain today and no one would of showed up anyway.
in other news, according to the NWAC report, a skier was caught in a slide on the Shucksan Arm yesterday. ok, pardon the rant, but WHY THE FUCK YOU SKI THAT?!?!! lets see...lee slope, between 35-40 degrees, no anchors, mostly convex, same place where 3 people died in a massive slide' 98-'99 and to top it all of, the avy forcast says HIGH danger!!! like, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING? that guy is lucky to be alive.
