CAIC just posted the final report on the Cameron Pass avy that killed a man and a dog and buried another man. The survivor lasted almost 3hrs before being rescued!

That was a quality report from the CAIC.
It was horrible to read about the difficulty the rescuers had trying to locate the second buried skier. Not sure if this detail was left out but the rescuers could have turned off the transmitting beacon of the first found (and deceased) skier in order to eliminate interference.
We should all probably throw out old single antennae beacons. They're not worth it.
Amazing Skier 1 survived for so long despite the avalung apparently not being in his mouth.
Condolences to friends and family of the deceased.
