I wish I new how to embed. They showed that video at the recent UAC discussion/forum. What a great vid, Trent absolutely killed it last year with such great stuff. Whats the saying you got to have those bad days or years to truly appreciate the good ones. I tried to learn as much as possible last year, dug pits every time out. Those guys getting beautiful full propogations on their ECT's make it look easy. I got some good results but never anything that impressive, most pits just lacked energy. But, snowstructure was shit all year. I remember reading snow structure should always trump CT results, plus spacial variability, spacial variability. Deep slab instabilities are just the scariest and really do test your self control. Let's face it, it's hard to look at the aesthetic line covered in pow, after weeks and months of lapping low angle poop. We want to push ourselves, improve, rip but you have to say another day. I thought it was interesting how every single snow or wind event resulted in some natural deep slab ripping out. I wanted to post up some pics from last year, usually I do it in the avy pic thread, but it works perfect to just piggy back on this. Thanks for posting.
Facets pouring out of the walls These guys didn't even know they pulled this pocket. My buddy and I were jumping on the ridge hoping to get a remote trigger but it didn't go. On the next lap a guy, moved up slope just 2 steps from where we were and remotely triggered this, found the sweet spot I guess. I thought this one was interesting, a ski patroller almost went for a ride doing early runs. Crown and pit. Cool pic
