Since it's snowing at Loveland Pass and it won't be long before the new season starts, I thought I'd share one of my favorite days from last season. The Crooked Couloir is on the south face of Mt. Audobon in the Indian Peaks, CO. My friend Dave and I set out from the city one morning last May.
You have to bike in from the winter road closure.
Crooked Couloir is directly above Dave's head.
That's me dropping in. View is to the south and the triangular peak on the right is Mt. Toll, an even better descent than Crooked Couloir.
Dave has been skiing all his life and it shows. It was perfect corn the whole way.
