took a drive the other day parked at 4400ft. hiked east up the valley 4 kms to the headwall (?terminology) . then had to climb 1000 feet up to my left on a rocky debris flow, to come out on top of the wall in an alpine meadow. the meadow is beautiful. around the lake were 2000 ft alpine peaks. i scrambled up the one on the left of the lake to a height of 8400ft . along this ridge further to the north east was Sun peak, which looks to be over 9000 ft, and steep, dropping into a further east alpine bowl. i can make an educated guess that this is 3500ft of vertical rideability more or less. there is also a bowl to the north of the peak i climbed, with a whole possibility of its own.
