Driving by Bloody the last couple weeks has been a sad reminder of the Sierra 06/07 Winter - limp. To kill curiousity and officially lay the season to rest, we ran a lap on the coolie. Better to burn out than fade away...
We drove all the way to Laurel Lake. 10 minutes walk to the snow, hour fourtyfive booting up the coolie. The snow was grainy, soft, and peppery. Not buttery smooth, but the texture was pretty manageable. No need for wax, plenty steep.
Still room to open it up for a few.

Jesus H. I freaking love this web forum. I don't know jack about Cali topo but I am totally stoked on all these wild TR's. Great one. Glad to see it is June and we're all still out there on the hunt for solid gold H2O.
