Friday April 6th

I could have gone to Camel Hump on friday... but instead of earning turns, i took a 2for1 to Jay Peak with 14-18in of snow and almost no one on the slopes... 30$CAN for a day of epic pow all over brought me back to the Jay of the 90s! I ended the day dropping in the face just below the saddle and enjoyed completely fresh tracks all the way down... I was always making turns on the FISH that were hitting between knee deep and mid-thighs... Pretty sweet for some april turns...

It was my first official day back on the board and it felt oh so good... I was out since February... but like most people said, it felt like it and seemed i didn't miss out so much! (ok, i did, but don't tell me!)

I got a video from Jay Peak on friday... Nothing fancy:

(now guess where we shot the vid)

Monday April 9th.

Today i went to Mont Olympia in the Laurentians with Anne-Marie and Andre who hooked up w/ Doug (VTbackcountry) earlier this season. They received 30-35cm (12in) in the last couple of days and the resort has been closed for 2 weeks now... Needless to say we had a completely virgin mountain to ourselfs... I'll complete the report later on... Lil video coming up...

Here's the map of what we did today:

I'm organizing some trail work next w-e with about 50 people on each day. But right now there is snow on the ground... So we might have to cancel...

If we cancel, my friends want me to go down to Mt. Washington... So far, it looks sunny and warm for Saturday... Organizing the event was a lot of work... but sunny and warm in the bowl sounds really appealing!

damn. I was up to Jay on Friday too. It would have been cool to get some turns in. Good to see you getting into the gnar terrain 1st day back.

Well... I might be at Jay Peak tomorrow...

I got PT... I'm suppose to do some flagging for a new bike trail that we're suppose to cut this w-e... But... Hmmm... This new snow is oh so tempting!

Anyone in?

I'll have 2for1... 30$CAN... 25$US...
