So here's a variety of pics from my season so far to date. It includes trips from Colorado (Jones Pass, Butler Gulch, Current Creek, Pikes Peak) and Wyoming (Teton Pass) that were taken by me, a ski friend, and my girlfriend throughout the ski season, starting with the acquisition of the new 173 Freeridle last October. Hopefully upcoming will be reports on Mt Democrat, Torreys, Guyot, and more.

I realize this is a rather disjointed summary, but it's what we've accomplished so far this year.

Also, if anybody is interested, I'm looking at Shasta (especially), Lassen, the Sisters, Hood, and Adams in early June of this year. Please let me know if you're interested. I'm ending up in Seattle next fall (most likely) and will be heading that direction via these peaks hopefully, and my original climbing/skiing partners might be out.

Thanks and enjoy ...

Not really sure where you were hiking. Ellie is the mountain/ridge south of pass highway visible from east side of parking lot. I can't think of any of the bowls that you could walk up like that. Nice photos.

Split.therapy,

Yeah, like I said, I'm not really sure. Having never been to pass before and with my girlfriend, we didn't feel like hiking up the main bootpack (Glory I think) that's north of the highway, so we headed up the ridge to the south, met a solo skiier and his dog up by the power station/radio station. From there, we could see the nice bowl to the SW, so we worked our way down through the trees over to that, and since it was hardpack going to corn, I just bootpacked up, rather than skinning up the right side. Then we climbed back up through the trees and descended the ridge to the pass.

Not sure if that helps, but here's a pic looking back to the face from near the ridge by the radio station thing.

Ellie was the only name I recalled from the solo skiier we met, so I could easily be wrong. Thanks.
