* Warning - Rookie TR* - still trying to figure out the dang camera too
Sanfantastico, bcrider, liketoride, powderjunkie, puffnattie, sf's friend Andrew and I met at the Tallac trailhead at 7AM to find a solid foot of fresh and blue skies - Nice!

I think we summited around 11:30 - pretty windy on top. bcrider checked out some guys roping down the cross - no thanks. Northbowl for us. That's SF with 3rd set of tracks down the face (trust me). This snow was in great shape.

Took the easy way into the Cross.

... and got some nice tracks. The snow quality was proportional to the elevation. Awesome on top, slowly getting heavier the lower we went. In fact, it was full-on baking down low and eventually, most of us had a tough time keeping our boards on top. The bottom got a little rocky too and more than one of us goobered up the bottom of our boards. This next shot is for JimW who had other commits which he's regretting right now :D

The snow below the face of the cross was nearly waist deep in spots. It's hard to tell in the pictures but those that got stuck will back me up on this one. My Kyber never noses in but the lower I got, the more i was leaning back to avoid going over the bars.
bcrider and puffnattie show how it's done. Image

See how far Puffnattie is leaning back?

I have to say for me the trek back to the car was hell. We were all a little worn out by the heavy snow at the bottom. The slope was generally down with lots of brush, etc. but there were some little hill pops that kept me from wanting to strap in. I felt like a goon on old skis - falling all over the place. As we got lower, it got thicker. All in all a great time. Thanks bcrider for guiding us.... and hey Liketoride - those coconut monkey shakes in town were killer with the sno-bro burger! :D

Cool TR SteveP. Glad you guys liked the coconut money!

Here are some of the pics that I took. I'm not a great photographer and I don't have a great camera, so I appologize in advance:

It was great to meet and ride with everyone. It was very a humbling experience to be in the presence of so many great riders. I hope to someday be half as good as any of you. In the words of Ali G "Respec".
