I finally got around to posting em today, took a couple hours but got most of it done. Still need to post some video. I tried doin a more specific TR for splitty.com but flippin biglines.com wont work with me. So you'll just have to checkout my blog that i've recently created. Sorry that there aren't more action shots,i was on my own. And i'm not really the type that likes to stop during my runs and ruin my flow. I may add more pictures later,i had about 250. So its not all riding shots. And stupid me decided to leave my camera behind on my 2nd day of riding cause i thought we'd be riding the same zone. But that area was socked in so we went to the north zone, not the tordrillos. The area we rode on my first day was called the Placer Skookum zone.

Great TR!
You hit it just right. Glad to hear you didn't get snowed out.

Looks alot like my trip. I got almost no action shots.
Wittier is a very strange town. Everyone lives in that one tower. We asked what was up with the other huge run down building and the ferry operator guy said "it's haunted and bears live in it!" like they have said to every other group of dumbass twentysomething year old guys that have come through. I think that there is a huge growroom for the town up there or something.
I got some friends heading up there later this year for a month long back country/RV trip that I really wanted to go on but I got stupid school now.

Thanks for the TR good to see you had a good time!

ps.I only got to see the northern lights from the plane but I saw 'em damnit.

Great pics. It was cool to see and read a bit about Alaska as well: a bit o geography, history, art, food. Good stuff man.

And the terrain looks awesome. Reminds me of the European Alps but looks x 10 better + less crowded x 100 and more powder x 200 = I really wish I was American.

Hard to go wrong when you stay at the Aleska Prince Hotel and fly with the Chugach Powder guides. :thatrocks:

I've been on that same program twice and needless to say it was some of the most memoralbe snowboarding of my life.

Stoked you got to do it! 8)

I wish i could've stayed there. Thats a lil too rich for my blood. I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Anchorage, next to ship creek. Did a lot of commuting, but Turnagain is not a bad commute at all.

I thought I saw a picture of the Prince in your blog. I think CPG offers packages that include the lodging there and heli time together but you're right it is spendy. My how I miss that days of having sponsors.

Yeah,we had to meet at the Prince Hotel in the mornings. Pretty much everyone that was flying there was staying at the hotel, they all had like week long packages though. Us single day folk had to fend for ourselves. Those packages def aint cheap, sponsors would come in handy there.

All I have to say about this is:

F@%& YOU YOU F@%&ING F@%&!

Yes, I'm jealous. UT is hurting so bad now in terms of quality of snow I've given up and started full on mountain biking. Headed to Fruita this afternoon for 3 days. There is snow here, but I've lost my motivation to deal with mediocre conditions at best. Rather have good biking.

I'm hoping for some April dumps to fix my attitude.

That my friends, is why I'm going flying today instead of riding the 9 inches of fresh at A-basin. God my priorities have flip-flopped :?
