(This is my first trip report, so I hope you'll excuse me if I screw up the picture thing)
San Frantastico invited me to join his crew for some riding out at Carson Pass on Sunday. We started out with a group of 8 at the pass and headed out towards Roundtop. Breadbox was wanting to ride the crescent moon. I volunteered to go along. SF and crew headed towards the sisters and we split off and up.

BB in the crescent
BB close to the top
Yeaah buddy!
We stopped shy of the top and decided it was down time...
A sketchy place to transition, my clinometer read 55 degrees here
Time to ride
So I did the heelside hero to umm, test the snow, yeah that's it. Then made a couple of turns, then pulled out the camera and caught Breadbox on his way down and out of the crescent. Little video here on youtube:

Our tracks (kind of hard to see, bad camera, or bad lighting)
We came out of the crescent just in time to meet up with the rest of the group. Nice...
Quick break for lunch and then we all headed over to Elephant's Back and down to Red Lake. I will post some pics from EB later.
BIG THANKS to San Frantastico for inviting me! And BIG THANKS to Breadbox for breaking trail, especially since he just finished a huge bike race on Saturday!
Alright L2R!! Nice report and good job on the crescent couloir. You and BB definitely found better snow that what we 'rode' on the Sisters. I'll try and get some more pictures up later, but here's a shot of Buffy the Crescent Couloir Slayer. (As if that's any kind of new joke for her - sorry.)
You can just make out the Crescent curving down from the little notch at the top of Round Top on the left. The Sisters are the three peaklets to the right of Round Top. And liketoride is the 'girl that rips' in the foreground!

Sweet. A TR from liketoride.
I saw on-line that another group wanted to ski that on Saturday, but backed out because they were unsure of the conditions in the choke. You guys did the right thing by climbing it first so you know the conditions.
Looks sweet.
We were a couple of peaks over from ya finding the goods on Sunday.
Wow, thanks for all the positive comments! It was easily one of the best days of the season. Awesome crew, good weather, beautiful scenery, and the most challenging line I've ever ridden.
Definately looking forward to the next trip also. Next time, to the top, for sure!
SF, no worries about the joke. It made me laugh this morning when I read it! I took it as a complement. It's always good fun going splitting, good devil's lettuce. Thanks again!
The main group headed to The Sisters while liketoride and Breadbox climbed the Crescent Coulior. Notice the awesome track straight across the middle of the bowl.
We chose a somewhat different route.
Round top, profile view.
Erin dug a pig.
Andrew ate a sandwich.
Terry got some air.
Finally, after waiting 3 months for decent coverage, I got to try out my new NS Titan. Yay! On windblown chalk. Not so yay.
I'd say it can carve pretty well.
Here's Terry.
BreadBox.
Erin.
liketoride.
lovestoride.
and Michelle.
We saw a lot of great scenery.
We finally found some fun steep powder that was hiding under a cliff. I'm pleased to say that the NeverSummer Titan is a thoroughbred in fast Sierra powder that's been consolidating for four days. It is so lively and fun with the rail buried. I can't wait to ride it again!
Another fun day in the Sierra! Thanks to everyone who came along - it was such a fun group. Thanks Breadbox for sniffing out all the powder! And thanks Blahos for building an awesome ride!!
