Hey Kids!

It's been a while. Time again for another installment of "The Adventures in the Circus Tent". We had a nice 11 day vacation and thought it would be a great time to spend part of it deep in the Utah backcountry. The day after Christmas we received a nice dose of light, fluffy, Utah pow pow to start the trip off right. Here's a few of the highlights from the trip. There are way too many great pics to post, but here are some of the best ones.

Skinning up to the promised land.
Image

Our mission... to seek and destroy!
Image

E gettin' first tracks down the Groiner Bowl (secret code name, not found on any map!)
Image

JB following up with some sicky skier turns.
Image

Gramps tracking up the goods.
Image

Boardergirl doing her favorite thing.
Image

B-rad... pretty good for a two-planker!
Image

Tav rippin some pow.
Image

Jennyfurrr off a roller.

After a hard day of powder wrecking, it's nice to return home to a warm circus tent. Ahhhh, I can smell the fettucini alfredo and chicken cooking already!
Image

Here's the crew sitting down to a nice meal. This ain't no backpacker freeze-dried meal either!
Image

Relaxing after a hard day in the mountains! Right now we're listening to a nice collection of Ipod tunes. Later we'll break out the portable DVD player to watch some snowboard vids and get stoked for the coming day of shredding! Yeah, we know. Life really does suck here in Utah!
Image

Hmmmmmm. Sleepy. The cozy crew drifting off to dream about tomorrow's powder. Outside it was 10 degrees. Inside... a balmy 75. No one really needs a zero degree bag for this kind of camping.
Image

Here are a few more random shots from the rest of the trip.
Nice morning view.
Image

JB in the trees.
Image

E in a sweet toeside carve. Really, now. The pow wasn't THAT good!
Image

Gramps trying not to break a hip.
Image

B-rad. What? No C-grab?
Image

Boardergirl coming out the bottom of a sweet little chute.
Image

E dropping a nice pow line. Doesn't get much better than this.
Image

Tav droppin' the gnar.
Image

Gramps busting up trees convict style!
Image

B-rad dropping.
Image

Boadergirl and JB in the fog at the top of a nice line.
Image

Boardergirl and E posing over the fog below.
Image

The girls at the end of an epic day. Smiles all around.
Image

We came, we saw, we destroyed.
Image

A view from afar of the "Groiner Bowl".
Image

Another cheezy shot of our hugantic posse.
Image

Hope you all enjoyed another installment of the Circus Tent Adventures.

Very nice trip report! Did you destroy your Burton S board during jumping - Do you propose Volile split kit or older Burton (Black Diamond) binding? I want to be shore if I can to try jumping on my S165.

"More tent sales this week + a sudden surge in N Utah real estate interest"....so the Wall Street Journal reported.
