Met Will & his buddy Pip up in Lincoln for some search & destroy on Fri night. Seems they had some adventures finding the forest service cabin we rented and stumbled in ~ 1am. They were ready the next morning and we set off after Red Mtn which is the high summit in the area....Snotel close by says >50" on the ground. Red is totally bare & dry - silence as we embark( at this point I admit I don't know where I'm going & more looks & silence). 10 mile sled ride back towards the wilderness boundary shows us some nice bowls(whew!). We hop off the sleds & head up:

Enjoying the summit
Time to drop in
Next day we headed for another bowl...along the way some fun traverse action
& 1st run on Sun - Will the rock slayer
We made 1 more run in this bowl then headed for the chutes we'd passed on the way up
Pip diving in ....Will waits
Will says "I like em firm"
Was a great weekend to get out. Was really great to ride with other splitboarders - a 1st for me & not 1 derogatory snowboarder comment all weekend - that was different - and was really fun riding w/ Will & Pip. Glad you guys made it!
Oh yeah & the demo of Will's new binder - most excellent - that.
1 last - wasn't sure who but it was kind of a cool pic
Daaaang what a fun weekend! Got the PM from Dave (lewmt) last week that there were some slots open for a cabin trip for the weekend and was stoked. The Bozeman area is hurting for snow a bit right now so I figured it'd be a good time to try out a different spot. I called up Pip and he was in to it too, he even bought groceries for the weekend (that's a shred partner!). We managed to get out of town without forgetting anything important, but just thirty miles out we blew a tire on the snowmobile trailer and Pip didn't have the right sized lug wrench to change the tire. F! Just then some friendly guys came by and insisted that we come to their house and borrow their lug wrench. They let us take it for the weekend, which we repaid with a bar of chocolate stashed in their toolbox. Then about an hour and a half later we missed a turn and did 30 miles of “practice drivingâ€Â
