We left seattle a tad before 7am with excellent blue bird skies and plenty of sunshine....and we left the paradise parking lot around 9:30 or 10. I wasn't watching the watch today so all times are very approximate ;D
Nisqually chutes from the just past pan point
We had tried this tour before, earlier in the year and while it looked like we good conditions that time....it then clouded over and we had a sun induced death crust to deal with. However this time it was to be different. It looked like we were timing things just right though. Lower down the snow was beginning to soften up.......in fact the skin up pan pt was very interesting and we ended up loading the boards up and boot packing it about half way. We reached the chutes just after noon and had a leisurely lunch in the sunshine.

Once we were ready to drop in there was maybe 2" of corn goodness on a firm base. The snow was fast and the run was prime. We headed down towards the nisqually moraine and booted back up to glacier vista for the ride back to the parking lot. It is always over way too fast. Riding out to the bridge as we had done earlier in the year looked to be done for this year.
