Headed out with Loren friday night to hit up an area he'd been looking to get to for a while. We arrived at the trailhead around 3:30 with nothing but blue sky and summer weather.

Overall a great weekend. The weather was amazing, i was hiking in a tanktop each day, good snow and beautiful surroundings. What more could you want..
cool. that's the same area i went last spring. memorial day, and it dumped on us. we camped at that campgrond where you parked and made it a day hike. there's SO much stuff up there, camping up closer was the right choice. in that sweet pic, up and to the right is some better terrain i hear.
how far did you have to hike in until you could skin?
That entire area is full of great terrain. You can drop any of those ridgelines as well, and drop into just as good terrain. Most of the couloirs and such were having wet slides once the sun hit them. Someone had done the couloir right above where we dropped in. We opted for the bowl.
We hiked about 1/2 mile on no snow, with another 1/4 mile or so of on and off snow. So about a mile at most takeing skis on and off. it really wasn't too bad though untill coming out. I was getting a little fed up.
