From the upper lodge you go in the direction of chair 1 to the upper extremity of the parking lot. Then you skin up "blueberry cat track" to the backcountry gate which will be on your right after a short groomed hill. Continue up to Artist's Point and then find a line to ride.
Now the obligatory advice: I suggest you pay attention to avalanche forecasts, look for avy risk factors (if you're aware of such) and don't ride the backcountry alone. Someone got buried right outside of this very backcountry gate, on a tiny little slope at the beginning this year (and some snowshoers a couple years back). So pretty much anything out there is prone to slide, given the wrong conditions.
If it were me and the forecast was 'considerable' or above I would probably just ride lifts, depending on my own personal opinion of the snowpack. But don't get me wrong, there are plenty of 'safe' days.
