Howdy Gents!
Well in another attempt at using my splitboard in actual board mode I went out on an overnighter trip to Turnagain Pass, Alaska. It was sort of a last minute toss together on the overnighter but we were able to make it out there, although we didn't get finished setting up until it was dark. That ruled out the riding in for that day. The next day there was plenty of new fallen snow and also some nice strong gusts of wind. Turns out we had to pack it up and head back anyway (I had a class to attend) and so I went on another trip without actually using my board in board mode. heh. I think I am a pro at this!! Heres some pictures.
The Day looks nice from the car.
Ah Finally. All ready to start cooking.
Home sweet home.
Comon baby LIGHT! After he got this puppy lit we had a concoction of several different types of beans, brown rice, corn, and a bottle of blended spices. Great tasten!
Next morning the stove wouldnt stay lit at all. He had to take it apart and hold it in is jacket because a part of the fuel bottle had froze.
Luckily our Splits were ready to go find snow before we were. They had accumulated it overnight.
A closer look at our new popsicles.
Ahhh sweeeeeet fire. And for breakfast it was a good pot of Oatmeal. With 3/4 of an entire stick of butter and over a cup of brown sugar. Yum!
Ski's, googles, poles....Looks like were set!
A nicely wind loaded tree. Served as our windbreaker.
Have a great new year!
