Snowy but warm winter in European Alps this season...

This time I was in the Aosta Valley, in the area of the Great St. Bernard, on the border with Switzerland. About 1 h 30' drive from Turin

Beautiful summit, 1250m of vertical drop. Very nice snow coverage with 3 meter of snow but spring in the lower. fantastic lines in the middle/high :thatrocks:

Beautiful, well done!
If I ever make it back to my hometown of Briancon in the winter I'll give you a shout to hit the pow together.

Stunning!!
Amazing looking terrain. Thanks for sharing.

I'm heading to Passo Tonale in a couple weeks for a Stag/Bucks party.
As my luggage allowance is pitiful and have no other splitters in the party I'll be using a solid for the first time in a couple years with some of Ryan's sliders and some Verts to go exploring.

Anyone have any knowledge of that area? Looks to have a lot of easy to access schralp from the lifts!!

Sorry for the hijack BTW!!

Cheers

George

Nice tripreport! I was in Aosta valley a few weeks ago too. It's nice up there this season.

Regarding Passo Tonale. I've only been there once, but there are some obvious lines as you can ride treeruns all the way to Ponte di Legno. There are also a ton of couloirs, but they are much harder to find and ride. If that's you're thing, I advice to hire a local guide. Overall snowbase should be really good, as we had mostly storms from the south this year.
