After leaving Jackson, I met up with ShredOR in the wallowas. Hoping to score I bombed it from Jackson, He rushed a clutch on his suby and we landed on the East side in dumping snow.....

.... and HOWLING wind...

This was my second trip into the range this year. While the terrain has been tantalizing and each trip a great time in some way or another, conditions have certainly eluded me. The high winds stripped almost 270 degrees of the mountains and left us with Ice and Avy's. We were forced to work very specific undulation's to score any good turns. We spent a few day's riding and a down day before I bailed. Here's the mellow burn forest shredding.

I backpack the Wallowas in the summer but have not gotten over in the winter. Its definitely on my list!
