Wasn't looking for a good day in the alpine so we headed up the Duffey in search of some pow.
We started at one of the usual routes






Getting up near the ridgeline the switchbacks became steep, thankfully the previous 2 days 'weekend warriors' had set in the skin track. Thanks MECer's





From the top of the ridge I was pretty stoked to see no one had hit the chute all weekend. We set out along the ridgeline to the entrance. Furthest back on the left is Vantage Peak






The left line had a big convex roller so we went over right, it was looking prime....





I couldn't resist taking a quick shot looking back after I made my first couple turns





We had our token skier who was so stoked skiing out the wide open meadow after the chute that he headed back to Whistler for a nap before work

It was time to get back up for some steep trees

We took a good look back at the playground that just got shredded




It was back up to check out another aspect, the weather was in and out




I found out the SW avy drainage was just as deep
Only another 1200' to go




We got back to the truck to find another group debriefing from their second day in Avy Operations 2.
They had seen us come down our last run, when we pointed out our lines in the upper chute and the steep trees of our second run they were stoked.



They went off to their 10th hr of school, we went home to
