Melanie (weekend warrior turned aspiring snowboard bum) and I decided to get out for an early season tour this weekend. This was Melanie's first ever tour on a splitty. She did awesome! Especially given the early season conditions. Between taking off and putting back on our skis due to low coverage of the up track, a gruelling 7hr hike into the Asulkan hut, and some really short, but surprising deep turns, we managed to have a good time.
