Schralpinist, the picture of me and the "snow tunnel of doom" is it. Milk creek a couple hundred yards east of the PCT. Were losing our snowpack fast compared to last year. Lower drainage in poor form. upper mountain.

That looks like a lot of work! I'm talking about the trip report. As always, solid work from Chronic. The more I talk to people about Jefferson the clearer it becomes that we weren't the only ones to get our lunch money stolen by that mountain.
When I was bushwacking through the brush I couldn't help but thinking I was going to run into Sasquatch. And I flipped Elliott some shit for him having your machete. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the machete belongs to Umpqua Hot Springs.
Merf: I actually declined the beer offer. But after some reflection, I reconsidered. And that was an awesome beer! For the record, I drink before and after, not during. But now I know why you guys carry emergency whiskey. If you can get out this weekend, we'll be at Cascade Pass.
