Here's some pics from a recent family trip to the historic Union Hotel.
History:
The Union Hotel, established in 1855, is the cornerstone of the historic town of LaPorte. Standing proudly throughout the days of the Gold Rush, the Great Depression, and the prosperity of recent times, the Union Hotel has long been the meeting place of choice for groups, friends and families.
The Union Hotel was first built by the Murray family in 1855 and opened at its current location at Kittis Hotel. It was renamed The Union Hotel in 1860, in honor of the local Union soldiers.
The original hotel was destroyed by fire, and the current structure was built in 1906. The only remaining portion of the original structure is the brick safe, which in its day stored the gold discovered in the area. The safe still stands in the center of the hotel.

Backyard jib, Sky brought his own 15ft rail (the camera made it look more like 8ft)
Storage container shifty...."make sure you clear the rusty pipes sticking up".

Apparently this is a trick
The hotel is unstaffed and the guests get to take over the bar
Shotguning beers....a sport for all ages
Family snowmo time

Mt Lassen
This year we found a hill to play on.
We doubled up and boarded down. The kids killed it, especially Haley

Haha this is awesome- looks like they're ready for a snowmobile drive-by. Straight thuggin. I'm gettin' old!
This looks like a REALLY good time. Partying in a historic hotel that's run by the patrons along with some riding. I have to make it out there. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah. Sky influences her to be a park rat, I try and influence her to be like big mountain female shredder Victoria Jealous....she lands somewhere in the middle.
The bandana was more for sunscreen than anything....she gets burned easy.

Good times! Thanks for looking.
Victoria Jealous is one hell of a role model! I think she's an inspiration for ALL riders.
That CA sun is strong and man am I missing it living back in gloomy upstate NY.
