with minimal snowpack, can't expect much. so ta-hui and i went out to castle with nothing in mind other than a mellow tour and some typical low angle turns at sunset. not so typical, it turns out. it took about one minute of scoping to decide that this short shot looked like fun. also in a hurry due to fading light. snow was just right ta-hui, getting dark now
time to get going we had one more traversing descent for some smooth turns before the crust reared it's ugly head. riding low tide, icy, backcountry at night with one headlamp is not mellow touring fun. a little struggle to get out, but well worth it when you don't expect much.
ta hui, TC is a must do, best line in the valley as far I am concerned. Just gotta pick the right night to get er' done, snow, moonlight etc. its all gotta come together, and there is much more to ride than just the main line, a bunch of world class routes to choose from..by using the lift I used to be able to 2-3 laps in per night...dont forget your headlamp..
