11/17: I made a little excursion to get some pow on my 'way' to Idaho for Thanksgiving. Just north of Reno I pulled over to take a leak and the sky started to go psychedelic on me:

11/18:
Met up with bs and skinned Alpental this day while it was still closed. Snow was epic. Didn't get many good riding shots this trip but I did get the urge to come back to the PNW soon. Especially seeing how the Sierra isn't getting shit for snow.
Ben stoked to be checking out his new resort pre opening:

Just because things are stable in the pit doesn't mean there isn't wind loading in the immediate vicinity. I'll leave it at that ;)

Neither of us knew where we were going but we ended up finding an epic run and did two laps on it. Ben is here booting the last part of it. It was not lacking coverage:

On to our 2nd lap:

The stoke was high before our last run:

At the end of the day I met up with Russman at the Karakoram factory and picked up my Superlights. Thanks to Bryce and Tyler for mounting them up on my new Solution for me. That's service!

11/19:
Baker. (apologies to Russman for being a huge vag this day :nononno: and thanks for showing me around)

Russell digging pit on top of Little AK. We didn't like what we found and retreated but still got some epic pow this day:

I'm think of writing a "How not to do backcountry" book. I this would make a great cover
Kooks!: (Russell and I put down a couple nice, fresh tracks before this shit storm ensued)

Watch for sharks! I dropped this pretty hot and got lucky for the most part. I did lose a 7" section of my topsheet on my new Solutions virgin day down lower on this run though :(. I guess I went UNDER a rock?

As soon as I can save up some money I'm going back!

Sweet stoke, just thought I'd add my sunset photos from 11.17. We were in Nephi (central Utah) on our way down to Zion.

way to score an early season pow cycle! and some mythical views of the baker area.

seattle chutes in full effect!!!(kind of a joke, I bet there are just as many hamsters and cannucks in that pic.)

I told Ben it can be a shit show out there. Seems like that little area of table always has some sort of early season accident as it is. you have people skinning up under you when there is an easier non exposed way to get to where the group of 600 is above them. There is a freeaking road! .. no reason to be climbing up table from bagley lakes like that. plenty of other spots to get aquainted with the conditions on the way up.

oh yeah... sunset pics are super rad!

You never get a firey red sunset like that here.

One of the few things I miss about living in the desert.
