its been a while since my last quick tr and the season is finally officially over so now i am checking out some of the footage i got with my drift hd cam, really impressed with some clips, others completely miss the mark .....
this season was good, when it snowed it was cold and the weather stayed clear for several days after each snowstorm, the cold dry climate meant the snow that fell down low actually stayed there and didnt melt which opened up a lot of terrain usually unridden..i spent a lot of time with my split exploring as much of the mountainside as i could...this clip exploring the south east basin
of course we did get some good powder, this clip is big tuesday, the deepest snow we have had since 2008...
and early season had its rewards, this little powder bowl is a semi secret and collects some very good quality snow as it is sheltered from most winds
stoked to be splitboarding and sharing the stoke globally ...always enjoying all the trs from all over the world...and the characters revealed!
and amping on some of the trs we are about to read from this upcoming winter,,get out there!!!

hi ben.. yeah it has been a good season for us at ruapehu, hiked to the top today, snow cover still down really low for november..looks like you are setting up for another good US season..the pov i use is a drift stealth hd and attached to a pole on those clips but the pole is curved ,plastic and has a nice handle to grip with gloves on so has worked out well..it was originally a ball thrower for a dog, cheap as $8 but the dog chewed the ball end off and it has become very useful, bit of a trick to riding and holding the pole especially on the steeper descents...
