Great shots. It makes me feel bad that you were up getting these in my backyard while I was busy thinking about mountain bikes instead.
What camera and what lenses do you shoot with? Did you crop the shot of Dan on the hanging glacier signficantly? I think I know where you were shooting from and my 7D with at 200mm + a 1.4 teleconvertor doesn't get me any where near that close.

^^^ You guessed it Jason... that's exactly what I use but I only cropped less than 5% for a bit of change in composition. I was pretty damn close to the bottom of Chair 8 too. I'm just as surprised as you are haha
I'll have to point my lens that way more often I guess. Most of the time when I'm shooting pictures of Shuksan the mountain is my subject not someone on it.
I was guessing that you were really close to the bottom of the chair. Either in the clearing directly towards Shuksan from the chair or at the bottom of Oi Valley above the waterfall where there was a large debris pile this year.
Sick TR Zach. I had to go to your blog to finish reading the rest of the story. Definitely there were some scary times it sounded like. Glad you made it out safe and look forward to more TRs this winter.
