After 49 years of turning I was still after that elusive month of September riding. With the massive winter this past year my dream was about to come true. I drove to Chico to pick up my daughter who had been on skiis or boards since she was 11 months old. After 2 weeks as a student at Chico State I was greeted by this....the new nose piercing. Once I was over the initial shock we were off to tahoe. I even gave her stick driving lessons on the 4X4 road on the way in. We set up camp[chairs, umbrellas, and ice chest] in the meadow and began the climb up my old reliable summmer patch. I even let her set a bootpack when it got steep as this was only her second time in the "BC". Hey maybe next time she can carry some of my gear. About an hour later we reached the top and took a few pics and enjoyed the sun. After a short rest we were on our way to do what I had waited so many years for. I was a little nervous for my daughter with the suncups and steepness but the snow had softened perfectly and she handled it nicely. Back at "camp" we celebrated and enjoyed the fruits of our hard work. Looking back on it it couldnt have been much better. I fulfilled my lifelong riding dream with my daughter. She didnt have to wait as long as I did and somewhere down the line I will be forming a new riding goal
