Cheers guys, Just wanted to say that I kind of skipped a section that was super important in my decision making process, and that was the call to abandon the original plan of an attempt on Artesonraju. I figured that a trip into the Ishinca would afford more options, and being early in the season, company. I learned that an Argentine snowboarder had fallen to his death on Arteson during a recent season. Every time I had a view up that way, there were clouds over the peak, signaling continuous snowfall. The face on Arteson is a large starting zone. The chances were good I'd get up a ways and have to turn. Although the weather was forecast to clear up during the time of my trip, I made the tough call to go to the Ishinca instead, where weather had been better. This decision turned out to be a blessing and made the trip what it was. Saludos to all and have a great season!
p.s. if anyone is in Utah and wants to get out for a tour give me a shout. Also will be guiding the best tours in the Wasatch and leading avy courses. Get in touch for more info!

I second that. My partner at work, Marcos is Peruvian and I pick his brain daily. Just yesterday I was talking with my snowboard/mountaineering partner about a trip down there, and today, here's more motivation. Karmic. What a stud, what a creator, what a range. As I said before
