there's bin some debate around these parts about some unsubstantiated sightings of a shralp hawk... or maybe over-substantiated.... what do they call it when the bird watcher is so high that his/her observations are suspect???? we're not sure if there is a shralp hawk around these parts or if it was actually a shred eagle, a local subpopulation of the same, or similar, species....
obviously we need professional help. anybody?!!??

Goddamit Karkis, you always crack me up with the randomest shizzle. Although not totally random because there seems to be a common thread of pot use. I can't identify the specific breed either, but it's clearly some kind of shraptor.

Some more information would be helpful.
Where did you see this shralp hawk?
What elevation and in what habitat type?
Did it make any vocalizations like "CAW CAW CAW" or "HE HAW HE HAW"?

If you saw this hawk up around Roger's Pass or other snowy mountainous region, then I suggest you take me up there with you and we'll investigate some of the deeper north facing slopes for this elusive creature.

I know little of this shralp hawk, but I think a couple of those trees might be leaners.

i dont actually kno nuthin bout nuthin, i just heard rumours... i'll look into it sum more... it does seem like this bird watcher mite be a bit of a drug addled freak, but it sounds like some journal is willing to publish his stoney observations... go figure!!! but i guess if the species is new to science that could be a Big Deal.... i'll let yall kno how it goes... Mr PJ is most likely right, an expeditionary investigation may be in order.... Rogers Pass was the alleged location of the sighting.... one could potentially bait the creature with cigarettes and single malt...

oh yeah, I've seen that bird about. I'm pretty sure it was about two weeks ago, but my short term memory is damaged so who knows. If i remember correctly the sighting was at a surprisingly low elevation. Maybe for feeding? One thing is certain, this wasn't no BALD eagle.
