Hi i just thought its worth asking here.
I split my tibia some years ago accross the crown where it meets the femur, the surface was pretty rough after the repair, a scan 18mths ago showed almost no cartilage over most of the lower part of the joint, I was warned to expect a knee replacment operation in the future. Just got back 10 days ago from a 3 week trip riding every day. Its fucked - sore, swollen, weak, feels like it wants to dislocate from time to time.
I worry that knee replacemnt surgery may affect riding ability - not that I would avoid surgery only on the strength of that. Can anyone reassure me that i will still be able to slash around and skin up with a plastic knee joint?

man that sounds rough i hope you are recovering. I have no experience with this but maybe try riding switch?
