Quick question to all you experienced splitters.

Can a split be butter worthy on groomers? Seems to me that it would be pretty tough with that type of flex splitting the board just enough to bare the middle edge, making it impossible to butter enjoyably. I know that is far from their element as they are designed with the backcountry in mind, however 5-10% of the time when im not at home in the steep and deep, I love me some butter!

I was thinking about added two more clips, to keep the halves as solid as possible when hooked up. As well as a solid binding set up like the new karakoram's. Any thoughts on that?

The way I see it, if I'm going to spend upwards of 1000-1400 bucks on a setup, im going to want this board to do it all...aside from rails, they can piss right off.

I was buttering my venture zephyr 64 on the muir snowfield corn this summer...

There seem to be lots of freestyle-oriented splits coming out in the last year or two.... check Burton, Rome, Lib Tech, etc., all their split offerings seem very freestyle friendly.

I run 4 k clips on my T.rice because I hate that sheer effect. Between the 4 k clips and a stainless steel rod between the tour brackets for added tortional stiffness, I really can't tell the difference between my solid and split.
