Anyone know how to edit videos from my Contour helmet cam?
I have a PC and can't seem to figure out how to get various clips from a video.
I want to only use certain portions of a certain video. My Easy Edit Software from Contour doesn't seem to be capable and I'm not sure how to do that on Youtube once I upload it to there.
Do I need additional editing software?

Havnt used contour, but go pro it helps if you convert it with mpeg streamclip. The codec it records in isn't for editing and will constantly need rendering/take ages to edit. So converting it to an editng format will speed it up. Also you can just convert parts of the video you want.

7. What format does the Contour GPS record in?

Videos are saved as a .mov using H.264 compression. Mac users will find this format easy to use, however PC (Windows) users may have to install Quicktime to watch clips and may need to convert the video files to edit them (depending on the software they are using).

Using this info I have researched a couple of recommended programs:

Rad Video (free) AVI/DivX

Xilisoft MOV Converter (free) Convert MOV to AVI, WMV, MPEG, and DivX

These will convert your video to more common formats like AVI/MPEG/etc which should make it easier to manipulate.
