I just got a pair of zeal optics Ions and wondering f people who film prefer to film in 1080P@30FPS or 720P@60FPS? I am leaning towards 720P for the speed of the frames/second....I would rather have a smoother video with slightly less detail than a choppy video...am I on the right track or way off??

It depends on your editing software. I use imovie, and in the version I have it breaks your footage to 30fps anyways. I still film in 60fps at 720 because it has the widest view on the gopro fwiw

30fps is usually more than smooth enough, most people don't really notice the difference. But I would probably use 720/60fps as well, having the option to make some pretty cool looking slow-mo parts.
