Post subject: Sometimes facets & wind are a great thing

Conditions in MT are totally sketch & widespread with spatial variability as unpredictable as I've ever seen. Sure - safe terrain can be had - but sometimes its just funner to turn 2' of pure facets into your friend instead of worrying all the way to the top & riding tentative lines. Snowkiting huge meadows & hills in those same facets is as much fun as a 40% chute in perfect powder.
Big fields of perfect facets
Sometimes the wind dies a long ways from the start point but a Monkified split saves a long miserable posthole session back to the bile
Nice alpenglow sunset to finish off a great day
